We support the development, production, promotion and distribution of Canada’s screen-based industry – always with an eye to equity, inclusion, and sustainability.
Among our many activities, we evaluate and recommend projects likely to be recognized by the Department of Canadian Heritage as audiovisual treaty coproductions.

CANADA’S CHOICE FOR THE ACADEMY AWARDS
We are deemed eligible by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to organize a selection committee to recommend a film to submit to represent Canada in the Best International Feature Film category at the Oscars.

We offer a call for entry service for international festivals and markets that provides important information about the application process. We help increase the visibility of audiovisual productions on the festival and market circuit, and stimulate distribution and promotional opportunities.

INTERNATIONAL PROMOTION PROGRAm
We finance the participation of Canadian talent in over 60 international festivals and markets with great impact! We turn heads and win awards at some of the world’s biggest festivals. If your coproduction is selected for a recognized international festival, you can apply for financing.
WHAT WE DO
EXPORT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
We offer financial incentives to foreign distribution companies to support theatrical screenings of Canadian feature films productions, making it easier for international audiences to fall in love with Canadian stories.
