The Canadian Innovation Lounge returns to SXSW for its second year, offering an exciting opportunity to explore innovative projects that are <\/span>shaping the way we play, create and live. <\/span>Organized by Telefilm Canada, the dedicated space will showcase projects ranging f<\/span>rom XR experiences for home and out-of-home, to VR and AI solutions that are transforming learning and lifestyles. Several of these projects have been selected to compete in the prestigious SXSW Pitch competition.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A new selection of projects will be presented each day from March 9\u201311 at the Fairmont Hotel\u2019s Primrose Room (4<\/span>th<\/span> floor). Here\u2019s what\u2019s in store for each day:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

March 9 – Canadian Innovation Lounge: XR, AI + Quantum Chemistry\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Explore how technology can be used in new ways to push the boundaries of what\u2019s possible with the stories we tell and the stories we live.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Award-winning <\/span>Games by Stitch <\/span><\/b>will preview their upcoming VR and mobile co-op escape room game, <\/span>Elsewhere Electric,<\/span><\/i> with hours of gameplay.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Shocap E<\/span><\/b>ntertainment <\/span><\/b>will showcase a range of XR entertainment projects that engage audiences at live events and at home.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Priam Givord XR Studio<\/span><\/b> will unveil their gallery-commissioned time-traveling experience that illustrates what\u2019s possible when creating unprecedented levels of realism and detail to enhance learning. The project, first launched at the esteemed Art Gallery of Ontario, is <\/span>The AGO Bristol 1775 VR Experience.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, <\/span>Xatoms <\/span><\/b>will demonstrate how AI and quantum chemistry can be used to predict real-world solutions that can change lives by revolutionizing water purification for communities.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

March 10 – Canadian Innovation Lounge: Spotlight on LBE<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Discover the future of placemaking and location-based experiences.\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

4elements <\/span><\/b>will showcase one of their experiences, <\/span>Timber,<\/span><\/i> to demonstrate how immersive gamified multiplayer experiences can transform spaces and spark new connections.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Infinite Frame Media<\/span><\/b> will be previewing a brand new mixed reality non-linear documentary experience called <\/span>Reich of Ashes: Journey of Survival.<\/span><\/i> It is being built for both touring and home audiences.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Story City <\/span><\/b>will be demonstrating how their location-based content and solutions can transform destinations into playable adventures. They\u2019ll be showcasing their growing catalogue of stories that can be placed in any city.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

March 11 – Canadian Innovation Lounge: Life & Play\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Studio Affordance<\/span><\/b> will demonstrate how game design and technology solutions can bring cinematic narratives to life in compelling new ways, and will present <\/span>Two Falls<\/span><\/i> (Nishu Takuatshina)\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Salemscript Productions<\/span><\/b> will show aspiring sound engineers how to master mixing, equalizing, pitching, and recording skills in a VR simulation called <\/span>Audio Odyssey.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

B\u00eda Sleep\u2019s<\/span><\/b> groundbreaking wearable technology will help you get the best sleep possible.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sigen AI<\/span><\/b> will be your key to transforming video data into privacy-compliant, monetizable assets.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
